Lecture: Haemoglobin content of reticulocytes as parameter in the diagnosis and therapy of anaemia and reticulocyte count in the diagnosis of diabetes

Haemoglobin content of reticulocytes is a parameter that can be assessed by haematology analyzers since more than two decades. Nevertheless, it is still widely unknown. The usefulness of this parameter in the diagnosis and therapy of anaemia will be demonstrated on the basis of case reports. The second part of the presentation will show how the reticulocyte count can be used to evaluate implausible results of HbA1c-measurement.
